These Terms of Service (the "Agreement") are an agreement between ulmcloud.com ("ulmcloud", "us", "our", or the “Company”) and you ("User" or "you" or "your"). This Agreement sets forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the products and services made available by ulmcloud and of the ulmcloud.com website (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to use or access the Services.
We don’t allow Freenom domains on any of our web hosting services. If you place an order with a Freenom domain and use it for spamming or unauthorized purposes, your account will be suspended immediately without any refund.
Sending unsolicited bulk and/or commercial messages over the Internet (known as “spamming”) is strictly prohibited, regardless of whether or not it overloads a server or disrupts service to ulmcloud.com’s customers. ulmcloud reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, what constitutes a violation of this provision.
ulmcloud services may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or distribution of any information, data, or material in violation of any applicable law or regulation or that may directly facilitate the violation of any particular law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material; trademarks; trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization; material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws.
The use of ulmcloud.com’s services to store, post, display, transmit, advertise, or otherwise make available any type of pornography is prohibited. ulmcloud.com, as required by law, will notify law enforcement agencies when it becomes aware of the presence of pornography on, or being transmitted through its services.
Violations of system or network security are prohibited and may result in criminal and civil liability. Examples of system or network security violations include, without limitation, the following: unauthorized access to or use of data, systems, or networks; interference with service to any user, host, or network including, without limitation, mail bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks; forging of any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header information in an email or a newsgroup posting.
Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. You agree to back up all of your User Content so that you can access and use it when needed.
If you purchase shared hosting, WordPress hosting, or cloud hosting services, ulmcloud will provide backups for a duration of 7 days. In case you do not renew your services and need a backup after the renewal period, you must renew your services first. Once renewed, you will be able to create and download the backup yourself.
For users of reseller services, if you do not renew your services, ulmcloud will retain your data for a period of 1 month. After 1 month, you will need to renew your services to request a backup. Providing the backup after the renewal period will be subject to our discretion and may incur a late fee.
ulmcloud does not guarantee the availability of backups for accounts with lapsed or expired services. If a user requests a backup without renewing their service first, it will not be possible. After the renewal, the user can create and download their backup. Additionally, if services are renewed after the due date, a late fee will be charged to retain the backup during the lapsed period.
ulmcloud provides backup services using JetBackup for your convenience; however, we cannot guarantee its reliability in case of sudden server crashes or technical issues. JetBackup creates encrypted backups that may not always be fully accessible in emergency situations. As such, we recommend all users to maintain their own manual backup at least once a week to ensure data safety.
Important: If you are using reseller services and do not renew your services within 1 month after expiration, your account and services will be terminated without notice. ulmcloud will not be responsible for providing any backup after this termination. Therefore, we recommend renewing your services on time or creating a manual backup and canceling your services before termination.
Furthermore, if your account uses more than 10 GB of storage, we recommend maintaining a manual backup of your data. In some cases, our system may not be able to create backups for files larger than 10 GB. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a backup in such situations.
Note: ulmcloud will only be responsible for maintaining the 7-day backup policy on servers that are actively running without technical faults. In the event of sudden technical issues, crashes, or unexpected problems, we encourage all customers to ensure their data safety by creating their own weekly backups.
We don’t allow Freenom domains on any of our hosting. If you still place an order with a Freenom domain and use it for spamming purposes, your account will be suspended immediately and no refunds will be done.
If a user provides fake details such as their full name, address, phone number, email address, or any other information when creating an account and purchases any services, they will not be eligible for a refund, nor will a refund be provided. Even if you correct these fake details later, it will be considered that you intended to misuse the services. As a result, your services may be suspended without notice. We comply with government regulations and do not promote any illegal activities. If you engage in such behavior, you will be solely responsible, not ulmcloud. Users who provide accurate information will not face any issues. This policy is specifically aimed at spammers.
Whether it's yearly or monthly plans, users who fill in their correct details will be eligible for a refund within 7 days. Refunds are not available for domain registrations, regardless of whether you register for 1 year, 2 years, or any other duration. Shared hosting, offshore hosting, WordPress hosting, cloud hosting, and reseller hosting are all eligible for a refund within 7 days. However, no refunds will be provided for Reseller R0 and Reseller R1 plans. For higher reseller plans, refunds can be requested within 7 days.
Use of ulmcloud.com’s services or equipment for creating or sending Internet viruses, worms, or Trojan horses, or for pinging, flooding, or mail bombing, or engaging in denial of service (DDoS) attacks is strictly prohibited.
ulmcloud does not promote accounts created with fake details without informing and without refunding any services. Your account can also be deleted permanently. Please add your company name, email, and phone number and verify your email so that you and we do not face any inconvenience.
We offer offshore hosting services to provide an additional layer of privacy and security. By choosing offshore hosting, you understand and agree that data protection laws may vary, and it is your responsibility to comply with the laws of the jurisdiction in which your hosted data resides. ulmcloud is not liable for any legal implications arising from the use of offshore hosting services.
In order to maintain transparency and security, KYC (Know Your Customer) is mandatory for all users opting for offshore hosting. Your personal information will be securely stored and handled with strict confidentiality. However, ulmcloud strictly prohibits the use of fake or misleading details during account registration or service purchase. Any accounts found using false information will be terminated without prior notice, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.
Downgrading from a yearly hosting plan to a monthly plan at the time of expiration is not possible. If your yearly plan expires and you wish to continue using our services, you will be required to renew for a minimum term of 3 months.
Users are solely responsible for the content hosted on our platform. Any misuse, illegal activities, or violation of these terms and conditions will result in the user being held accountable. ulmcloud disclaims all liability for damages or legal consequences arising from the user's misuse of our services.
If any client engages in misbehavior, spamming, abusive language, or any inappropriate activities with our 24/7 support team, ulmcloud reserves the right to immediately suspend their domains, hosting services, websites, or accounts.
ulmcloud strives to provide affordable domain registration, renewal, and transfer services to all customers. The renewal prices offered by ulmcloud are applicable only when the domain is renewed before its expiry date.
If a domain is not renewed before expiration and enters Grace Period, Redemption Period, or any expired status defined by the respective domain registry, additional restoration or redemption charges may apply. These charges are imposed directly by the domain registry or registrar and are beyond ulmcloud’s control.
ulmcloud does not control or determine post-expiry restoration fees, and such charges may vary depending on the domain extension and registry policies at the time of renewal. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that expired domain recovery may require additional registry-imposed fees along with the standard renewal charges. To avoid additional charges, customers are strongly advised to renew their domains before the expiry date.
If any customer uses WordPress, PHP scripts, CMS platforms, custom-developed applications, or any other software that contains malware, malicious code, security vulnerabilities, phishing content, spam scripts, backdoors, shells, or any activity that may compromise server security, ulmcloud reserves the right to immediately suspend the affected hosting account without prior notice. No refund, cancellation, or compensation will be applicable in such cases.
To protect all customers and server infrastructure, ulmcloud utilizes advanced security monitoring and malware protection systems, including server-level security tools such as CPGuard. These systems continuously scan websites and hosting accounts for malware, suspicious files, unauthorized scripts, and security threats. Such measures are implemented for user safety, data protection, privacy, and overall server security.
If an account is repeatedly suspended despite having no outstanding dues, it generally indicates that the website, application, or hosted files contain malware, vulnerabilities, or pose a security risk to the server environment. In such situations, the system may automatically suspend the account to prevent potential damage or compromise to other users hosted on the same infrastructure.
Customers are responsible for maintaining the security of their websites, plugins, themes, scripts, and applications. Users may resolve the issue independently, hire a third-party developer, or purchase a premium malware cleanup and security hardening service from ulmcloud (if available). Once the security issue has been resolved and verified, the account may be reviewed for reactivation. ulmcloud maintains a strict security-first policy and does not compromise on server security under any circumstances. Any account found repeatedly hosting malware or posing a security threat may face permanent suspension or termination without refund.
